Living the dream

Lysefjorden, Norway: The splendour of the views from the driver’s seat makes for an inspiring work shift. But the extremely variable weather and road conditions in this dramatic landscape also mean very real challenges, especially when hauling 35 tonne loads. It takes skill and professionalism at all times. For Lillian Hersvik, a driver at B.viks Transport AS, a passion for trucks began as a young girl while accompanying her father, also a truck driver, on his routes. Today, she is transporting cement bulk from Risavika to local cement mixers in the region. Other assignments can involve much longer distances, so that her Volvo FH 16 600 becomes office and home for several days. For Lillian, this is living the dream.
