Manual gearboxes 
The manual gearboxes are operated with servo assistance. The short gear lever, which is integrated into the instrument panel, is vibration-free and gear lever movement is short and crisp. The gearboxes can be specified with a power take-off.

Automatic Gearboxes 
The automatic transmission presents excellent starting properties and smooth gear changes that cover the entire speed range. The gearbox is operated via push buttons in the instrument panel. It can be specified with power take-off.

Short sleeper cab

Short sleeper cab offers extra space that can be equipped with a bed for one person or be used as office space with extra storage compartments. Interior height 1605 millimetres, length 2000 millimetres, width 2300 millimetres.

Sleeper cab with a bed for one person. Interior height 1605 millimetres, length 2200 millimetres, width 2300 millimetres.

Volvo Low Entry Cab 

Low Entry Cab

Low entry cab with low instep and room for one or up to three belted passengers. Interior height 1605 millimetres, length 2200 millimetres, width 2300 millimetres. Offered with foldable passenger door.

Cab suspension

Mechanical suspension for both front and back: coil spring and shock absorber. Pneumatic suspension for both front and back: air bellows.


Driver’s seat

Three different levels of comfort: Comfort, Standard and Economy. All three feature backrest, length, height and front tilt adjustment and integrated headrests.


Passenger seat

Three different levels of comfort are available: Standard, Economy or Basic.


Cab Colours

Available in 300 fixed variants. On top of that additional colours can be ordered on customer adaptation.


Steering wheel

The steering wheel has a diameter of 460 millimetres or 500 millimetres depending on truck configuration and can be pneumatically adjusted to the desired position.


Climate system

The cab heating system is available in two variants: manually controlled, heater only, or manually controlled heater and air condition. There is also a 2 kW parking heater system available that can be specified as an option.


Roof hatch

The cab can be equipped with a roof hatch that can be opened 50 millimetres. It is available in either glass or steel. The hatch can be operated either manually or electronically.

Cab heating

The cab heating system is available in two variants: manually controlled, heater only, or manually controlled heater and air condition. There is also a 2 kW parking heater system available that can be specified as an option.


Interior storage

The cab interior has many practical, easily accessible compartments for storage of documents and personal belongings. There are two storage units above the window, as well as four DIN compartments. A number of different storage and tunnel boxes, writing pad and clothes hooks can be specified as options.


Horns

There is a choice of two extra horn types, electric or pneumatic – either two roof-mounted horns, pneumatically operated, or one electrical horn under the front lid.


Bed

The bed is offered in one or two pieces and is either 580 millimetres or 780 millimetres wide. There is an optional bed protection bar.


Low Entry Cab

The FE Low Entry Cab provides easy access with 90 degree door opening. It comes in two versions with either a flat floor or an engine tunnel, visibility for the driver is excellent and of course, as it is a Volvo – safety is on a top level.

Fuel tanks
Fuel tanks are available in plastic, steel or aluminium. Fuel volume varies from 160 to 630 litres. There are two heights of D-shaped tanks – 560 mm and 710 mm.

AdBlue tanks
Plastic, volume is 32 litres. The AdBlue pump is integrated with the AdBlue tank module. 

EBS (Electronically-controlled Brake System) provides superior response, performance and brake feel, while providing access to a number of handy features. Upgrade your brake system by adding the EBS Medium package or any of the additional options. EBS is standard on all specifications.

EBS Medium

In addition to the EBS Standard package, EBS Medium adds the following features:

 

Hill Start Aid

The brakes are only released once there is sufficient engine torque to propel the vehicle forward.

 

ESC (Electronic Stability Control)

The brake stability system applies the brakes individually on each wheel, thereby providing stability for the entire vehicle combination and counteracting jack-knifing, rollover and trailer swing. ESC fulfils the legislation of Electronic Vehicle Stability Control, and is available for 2- and 3-axle vehicles.

Hydraulic retarder

Hydraulic retarder for AL306 gearbox. The compact, integrated hydraulic retarder is mounted on the gearbox and offers braking torque retardation of 1490 Nm.

Front axles
Front axle loads vary from 7.1 up to 9 tonnes.
 

Tag axles
Available in several configurations – fixed with single or dual wheels, or or actively steered. Axle load: 6.7, 7.1, 7.5 or 10.5 tonnes.

Frame Body Builder Hole Row

The upper hole row is reserved for the body builder. All brackets in the upper hole row have an offset and an 8 millimetre spacer. No rivets are used in the upper hole row.


Crane Preparation

Crane plates on the chassis can be factory- mounted.


Crane Preparation Kit

Crane plates on the chassis can be factory- mounted. The battery box is moved rearwards and the fixation plates are mounted behind the cab on each side of the chassis. An electrical preparation kit – ELCRANE – is included.

Fifth Wheels

An ISO fifth wheel with L-shaped profiles at different heights is included in the range, offering considerable freedom of choice. The flange-mounted fifth wheel is a low-weight variant since it does not require any attach- ment plate. The fifth wheel’s height above the chassis is from around 150 millimetres. Integrated lubrication and trailer connection indicator is available as option for specific variants.
